Who came up with the name Sarnie Social?Credit has to be given to 3 people for coming up with the name “Sarnie Social”.
Simon, a local 40 saints resident first brough in the word Sarnie as a suggestion to Seif as a way of playing into the informality of the restaurant’s character. A sandwich is to be eaten, a sarnie is to be smashed.
The addition of “Social” came about when Seif ocnsulted his wife Aure about a name that resembles the community creation aspect of the brand that Sarnie Social champions. She then threw out “Sarnie Social” and from then on it was set in stone.
Whats so social about “Sarnie Social”?Sarnie Social is not just an awesome sandwich restaurant. It is a project set up with a goal to bring people closer together to have conversations, spark connections and build communities.
We believe food connects people and so we want to see how we can do this through our Sarnie Communities. Whether its our supper clubs, our pop ups, run club, or locals only events we want to foster a sense of community and easy communication wherever we are in London
Whats makes your Sarnies so special?THE BREAD.
Of course our fillings are unbelievable, using really high quality meats and produce that we source locally.
But the real secret to any great Sarnie is the bread. That’s where we started, we designed and built this bread ourselves to be the perfect vessel for the perfect Sarnie. Soft, cushy, fluffy, tasty, full of fibre, and can take its sauce without crumbling and falling apart.
The bread is inspired by ancient egyptian “baladi bread” with its high ratio of wheat brand fibre and wholewheat flour.
Because f*ck menu FOMO. We ran 30 recipes and 10 mad ideas to get here.
Three sarnies we're genuinely obsessed with beats fifteen sarnies we're lukewarm about every single time. Quality not quantity. That's our game.
A simple menu means we can always bring in a guest sarnie. Every once in a while we’ll think up Sarnie in our fantasies that we’ll turn to reality, we’ll call it “fantasarnie”. It’ll run for a limited time then we’re back to our 3 hero sarnies.
We don’t think you’ll get tired of them.
Why only 3 sarnies? Where can I get a Sarnie?We are currently doing delivery only on Deliveroo and we are running bespoke pop ups and residencies at other local pubs and restaurants.

We are expanding our delivery locations and will soon launch our won brick and mortar store.
